B. Pierce was born and raised in West Texas. Her native warmth gives her style a sprawling country appeal and her early memories are a continuing source of inspiration for her writings.
Willson is a lifelong New Englander and, as such, is stereotypically more reserved, structured, and finicky. These opposites surprisingly compliment each other in the writing process.

Pierce and Willson met online and soon discovered that they shared a love for poetry. This led to swapping poetry favorites and then to sharing verse they had written themselves.

Collaborating was the next logical step. In the poems presented here, Pierce supplied the memories and the unaffected taste of West Texas charm. Willson merely arranged and polished them. "Poetizing" the words as he says, dressing them up for their first trip to the city.
